Summit Chase is one of the rare high rises outside of the downtown metro area. This building was constructed in the 1960s, which is evident in mid-century modern architecture. While it was originally intended as high-end apartments, the building was converted into condominiums in 1977. The building would win the AIA honor award and its architect E.A. Glendening & Associates.
Another interesting fact about Summit Chase is that it was the home of former Astronaut, John Glenn, and his wife from 1974-1999. The building is still considered a prime real estate target for many buyers.
